*3. REDEVELOPMENT: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RIO NUEVO MULTIPURPOSE FACILITIES DISTRICT, APPOINTING MEMBERS, APPROVING ADMINISTRATIVE RULES, AND APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON, THE TOWN OF SAHUARITA AND THE RIO NUEVO MULTIPURPOSE FACILITIES DISTRICT

(a) Report from City Manager JULY19-99-372 CITY-WIDE

(b) Resolution No. 18347. A resolution establishing the Rio Nuevo Multipurpose Facilities District; appointing two members to the Board of Directors thereof; approving administrative rules and an Intergovernmental Agreement; and declaring an emergency.

*The Mayor and Council may vote to discuss a portion of this item in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(a)(3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorneys for the City of Tucson.

4. ELECTIONS: REQUEST OF THE RIO NUEVO MULTIPURPOSE FACILITIES DISTRICT TO PLACE A QUESTION ON THE NOVEMBER 2, 1999 BALLOT FOR VOTER APPROVAL FOR THE RECEIPT AND USE OF A PORTION OF STATE SALES TAX REVENUE

(a) Report from City Manager JULY19-99-373 CITY-WIDE

(b) Resolution No. 18348 relating to elections; approving the request of the Rio Nuevo Multipurpose Facilities District to place a question on the November 2, 1999 ballot for voter approval for the receipt and use of a portion of State sales tax revenues generated at the district site; and declaring an emergency.
