Design Review Board (DRB)
Description:
Review proposed buildings, structures, landscaping, architectural features, development plans, and site plans as set forth in the Land Use Code.
8 year term limit.
Maximum Number of Members: 7
Meeting Location:
Mayor & Council Chambers, 1st Floor, City Hall, 255 W. Alameda
Meeting Time: 2010: Fridays (Biweekly) : 1/8, 1/22, 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/19, 4/9, 4/23, 5/7, 5/21, 6/4, 6/18, 7/9, 7/23, 8/6, 8/20, 9/3, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17 & 1/7/2011 at 7:30 a.m.
Membership Requirements:
Seven members, of whom five are regular members and two are alternates. When in attendance, the alternates' roles and responsibilities are identical to the regular members. Any member of the Mayor and Council may make a recommendation for appointment of a member. Members are appointed by a majority vote of the Mayor and Council.
Of the seven members, there shall be at least:
One registered architect;
One contractor; and
Two registered landscape architects.
The appointee must be a city resident. No member is to hold any city, county, or state elective office or be a permanent employee of the City while a member of the Design Review Board.
