Description:
Act as the official advisory body on GLBT issues.
8 year term limit (Exception: Human Relations Commission representative)
Maximum Number of Members: 13
Meeting Location:
Ward 1 Council Office, 940 W. Alameda
Meeting Time: 2010: 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m.
Membership Requirements:
Thirteen members. Each member of the Mayor and Council shall appoint one member. One Member of the Human Relations Commission will be designated to serve on the commission, notwithstanding T.C. §10A-134(c), and five additional at-large members from the community will be nominated by the commission and ratified by the Mayor and Council.
Members appointed shall be residents of the metropolitan Tucson area. All members shall be knowledgeable about issues and concerns of importance to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community.
