Industrial Development Authority (IDA)
Description:
To serve as a financial arm of the Downtown Development Corporation (DDC).
Exempt from 8 year term limit.
Maximum Number of Members: 9
Meeting Location:
Ward 6 Council Office; East meeting room, 3202 E. First St
Meeting Time: 2009: 2nd Thursday of each month, 4:00 p.m., except December meeting will be on December 11th in the West meeting room.
Membership Requirements:
Nine directors, "elected" by resolution of the Mayor and Council pursuant to A.R.S. § 35-705.
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 35-705, all members of the Board of Directors shall be duly qualified City electors, and may not be officers or employees of the City. All directors shall declare any conflict of interest as provided in Title 38, Chapter 3, Article VIII of the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S. § 35-705 et seq.).
