Landscape Advisory Committee (LAC)
Description:
Advisory to Mayor and Council on matters pertaining to the policies, planning, design, management, and promotion of public education regarding the City's landscape and vegetation resources.
8 year term limit.
Maximum Number of Members: 11
Meeting Location:
Parks/Rec. NW Conf. Room, 3:30 p.m., 900 S. Randolph Way
Meeting Time: 2010: 1/20, 2/17, 3/17, 4/21, 5/19, 6/16, 7/21, 8/18, 9/15, 10/20, 11/17 & 12/15
Membership Requirements:
Members must reside or work within Pima County.
One representative from each of the following prescribed membership categories:
Business Community;
Ecologist/Wildlife Habitat Specialist;
Educator;
Landscape Contractor;
Landscape Architect;
Horticulturist/Arborist;
Urban Planner/Architect;
Water Conservation Specialist;
Other (from related non-profit corporations, other jurisdictions or agencies to fulfill the need to broaden representation and to ensure better coordination); and
two Neighborhood Representatives.
