Tucson Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board (TFPSPRSB)
Description: To decide all questions of eligibility and service credits, and determine the amount, manner and time of payment of any benefits under the system.
Exempt from the 8 year term limit. (this is a State board)
Maximum Number of Members: 5
Meeting Location: 5th Floor Conference Room, City Hall, 255 W. Alameda
Meeting Time: 2009: 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 9:00 a.m.
Membership Requirements: Five members. The Mayor or designee of the Mayor with the approval of the City Council shall serve as Chairman; two members shall be elected by secret ballot by System members employed by the Tucson Fire Department; and two citizens, one of whom shall be the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, and the other appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
Mayor or Designee: Mayoral term; Two elected members: 4-year staggered terms, expiring June 30; Civil Service Chair: Length of term as Chair to Commission; and Citizen: 4-year staggered terms, expiring June 30.
