Tucson Parks and Recreation Commission (TPRC)
Description: Recommend the extent and location of the various recreational activities and facilities of the City.
Maximum Number of Members: 7
Meeting Location: Will specify on the meeting notice.
Meeting Time: Meets as required.
Membership Requirements: Seven members, including the chairperson. Each member of the Mayor and Council shall appoint one member to the Commission. The chairperson shall be designated by the governing body. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner in which members are initially appointed. If no appointment for a position has been made within 30 days of the effective date of the vacancy, the position may be filled by a majority vote of the Mayor and Council.
The chairperson shall have no vote except in case of a tie.
Members must be residents of the city.
Terms of the members shall be coterminous with the terms of the Mayor and Council member who appointed them.
