Effective August 04, 2008, the below procedure will be followed when a person shows up wishing to have his or her
warrant(s) quashed for:
1. Failure to pay fine (criminal charge)
and/or
2. Failure to appear in court for a scheduled court date (criminal charge)
First, you must check in at the Information Desk located in the Public Services Lobby of Tucson City Court. You will be given
a number to be served by a customer service representative who will research your outstanding court cases and may refer you to a court session if you have an active warrant.
If you do have an active warrant, you will be scheduled to appear in front of a judge as follows:
Customers appearing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before 11:00 AM, will be seen between
10:30-11:30 AM that day.
Customers appearing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between
11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, will be seen between 3:30-4:30 PM that day.
Customers appearing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday after 4:00
PM, may choose to appear
another day, surrender themselves at the jail or leave the warrant in active status.
Customers appearing on Friday before 3:30 PM, will be seen between 1:00-4:00 PM that day.
Customers appearing on Friday after 3:30 PM, may choose to appear
another day, surrender themselves at the jail or leave the warrant in active status.
If you have any unresolved civil cases or unpaid fines, you will be directed to report to Public Services.
Please note: Personal checks will not be accepted for payment of fines in default (past due fines), payment of fines in failure to pay fine warrant status or for bonds intended to secure appearance.
