Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps ( D-FIRM ) are now available for public use from the Pima County Regional Flood Control District.
PDSD Notices

Minimum Requirements for Swimming Pool Plans The Planning and Development Service Department has updated the minimum requirements for swimming pool plans. Including
these items on the site plan along with the pool barrier information will support a complete and timely plan review and field inspection.
Getting Ready for Residential Photo Voltaic On June 17, 2008, Mayor and Council unanimously voted to require all new residences to be solar ready for electric (PV) and
hot water. At a future date, to be determined, all new single family homes or duplexes must include in the plans either a Photo
Voltaic system or preparation for later installation of a PV system in order to receive a building permit.
Development Standard 2-17 Protected Development Right Plan Standards On April 28, 2009, Mayor and Council adopted Development Standard 2-17 Protected Development Right Plan Standards.

Commercial Water Harvesting On October 14, 2008, the Mayor and Council adopted the Rainwater Harvesting Ordinance. On May 19, 2009, Mayor
and Council adopted the Development Standard 10-03: Commercial Rainwater Harvesting. To facilitate compliance
with ordinance and development standard, the City of Tucson Office of Conservation and Sustainable Development has prepared an Excel spreadsheet that can be used to calculate the required water budget. NOTE: Compliance with the Rainwater Harvesting Ordinance and Development Standard
IS NOT REQUIRED UNTIL JUNE 1, 2010.
Development Standard 2-10 - Flexible Lot Development
A proposed amendment to the Development Standards that describes submittal, historic and green building requirements that apply to flexible lot development.
Water Harvesting Cisterns The Zoning Administrator has prepared a determination to clarify application of the Land Use Code as it relates to the installation of water harvesting cisterns.

Proposed ADA Ramp Crossing Standards & Templates
The City of Tucson's Development Services Department is proposing ADA Ramp Crossing Standards & Templates for your
input. It is hoped that these standards and template details will assist designers in getting their plans reviewed for ADA quickly,

This policy establishes procedures for fair, consistent, and expeditious review and approval of construction revisions, inspections, and final certificates of occupancy.
