Watercourse Frequently Asked Questions The City of Tucson Development Standard (DS) 9-06.0 (formerly DS 2-13.0) was revised November 7, 2006, to provide more consistent application of
existing regulations for protection of habitat associated with watercourses. For further information please refer to the Watercourse Frequently Asked Questions regarding DS 9-06.
Copolymer Soil Stabilizer
Effective March 1, 2008, chemical soil stabilizers may used in the circumstances as outlined in the Policy: The Requirement to Use Copolymer
Soil Stabilizer to stabilize on-site disturbed soil associated with grading permits issued by the City of Tucson Development Service Department.

Property Research Online (PRO) Is Here-
In its continuing effort to improve the delivery of services to the public, the Development
Services Department has developed Property Research Online (PRO). PRO provides the City of Tucson withthe ability to quickly retrieve property information within the framework of a user-friendly interface.
DSD Proposed Policies The
Development Services Department is requesting public comment prior to formal implementation of the following proposed policies. If you have any comments or questions please email Glenn.Moyer@tucsonaz.gov or Beth.Grant@tucsonaz.gov.
2008-17_E_ records check out policy To ensure that DSD records remain available to the public and protect against loss from theft, the Development Services Department
is proposing a policy requiring persons wishing to review microfiche and paper records to provide identification prior to the records being released.
2008-08 (E) Requesting Deferred Submittals A proposed policy establishing conditions under which the Development Service Department will accept deferred submittals.
Please submit comments by August 1, 2008.
2008-43(E) Addressing for Malls
A policy establishing procedure to ensure businesses located in malls are properly addressed so emergency service personnel can find them.
Please submit comments by August 31, 2008.
Proposed Standards for Electronic Plans and Documents
The Development Services Department is proposing standards for the submission of electronic plans
and documents. We will be exploring the submission of plans in the proposed format. Please follow these proposed standards when submitting electronic plans and documents and send any comments
on these standards to DSD_Help_Desk@tucsonaz.gov.
On October 16, 2007, Mayor and Council adopted
Ordinance No. 10463, the Inclusive Home Design Ordinance. The 1998 American National Standard Accessible
and Usable Buildings and Facilities Code and local amendments will take effect January 1, 2008. After January 1,
all residential plans will be required to comply with the accessibility standards stated above prior to permit issuance.
Building Valuation Changes Coming: The International Code Council posted new Building Valuations on their website at www.ICCSafe.com. The city will adopt these valuations as of April 1st, 2008. These changes will be
happening bi-annually.
