More Options for Disposing of Household Hazardous Waste
Every year, thousands of Tucson and Pima County residents use the HHW Program to dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) in a safe, environmentally way. HHW is all the products used in homes that can potentially harm people, pets and our groundwater if disposed of improperly. Beginning in July 2013, residents will have greater access to the program through the expansion of the monthly collections to more areas of the City, and a new, fee-based home pick-up program.
Expanded Monthly Collection Sites
On the 2nd Saturday of each month, the HHW collection site will move to a different location across the City providing residents easier access to the program. Check the schedule for the locations near you.
Home Pick-up Program (within City limits)
If you find it difficult to get materials to one of the HHW Collection Sites, Environmental Services Department staff will come to your home on a scheduled day and pick up your HHW materials for a $25 fee. For more information, please call (520) 791-3171.
