Groundwater Remediation Price Service Center During the late 1980s, the UST system was found to have leaked an unknown amount of fuel into the soil below the fueling tanks, dispensers, and delivery piping. The tanks were emptied and removed from service in the early
1990's. The City, through its consultants, determined the extent of soil/groundwater impacts. With the approval of the surrounding neighborhood associations and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ),
Environmental Services Engineering & Technical Support determined the most effective method of remediation. The 1994 Bond Program allocated $4,500,000 for the design and construction of the soil/groundwater Remedial
Action System. All work is completed under the oversight of ADEQ.
