IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU SHOULD BE TESTING YOUR SMOKE ALARMS!!
Hey! Do you really want to impress the adults in your house? Announce to everyone that you are the new Fire Chief of your house and then move from room to room checking smoke detectors! They won't know what hit 'em! I know it sounds cheesy, but think of the confusion you will cause?! And best of all you will be performing a live-saving prevention activity for you and your family.
Smoke Alarms:
Install smoke detectors outside all sleeping areas and on every level of your home.
Test them monthly following manufacturers' instructions.
Change batteries at least once a year - even if they are still working.
Never remove batteries for use in toys, a flashlight, or radio.
Contact the Tucson Fire Department Community Safety and Injury Prevention Office at 791-5515 for information on free or reduced price smoke detectors
