10-Year Vision:
Maintain clean, safe, and accessible parks and facilities, and improve the quality and accessibility of programs with an emphasis on youth, families, and seniors.

Fiscal Year 2008 Goals – Progress through March 2008:

Complete 20,000 additional parks maintenance hours. With the addition of 7 groundskeepers, 3 trade specialists and 1 lead groundskeeper, approximately 15,000 additional hours of parks maintenance have been completed.

Add 13,000 programming hours to summer KIDCO. 6,500 hours were added to summer KIDCO programs during July and August 2007. Additional summer KIDCO programming will occur starting in May 2008.

Renovate 7 fixtures. This year Parks and Recreation will renovate 4 irrigation systems and 3 comfort stations. 2 of the irrigation systems and 1 comfort station have been completed. Renovation of the remaining fixtures are in progress and will be finished by the end of the fiscal year.
