Rehabilitate 7 miles of major roads. 3.7 miles of major roads were rehabilitated, utilizing surface asphalt removal and replacement with rubberized asphalt. Funding for this work was provided through the department’s efforts and the Pima Association of Governments Transportation Improvement Program.
Rehabilitate 16 square miles of residential and local streets. 12 square miles of residential streets have been rehabilitated. The process included pot hole patching, grass and weed eradication, crack sealing, re-striping of roadways, signage replacement, and asphalt surface treatments (chip seal and slurry seal).
