June Meeting Minutes – 6/17/2008

1. Presentation
Josh Pope – Model Builder – Josh shared helpful tips to know before starting model builder. He suggested that preconditions be established otherwise there is no order to the operations. He offered some helpful sites for more information on model builder both @ COT and PC. He also discussed the use of .cal files which can be obtained @ http://www.ian-ko.com/free/free_arcgis.htm
Dave Koss announced that PAG will be offering a Model Builder/Python class sometime next FY (possibly as early as August).
2. Announcements
Bryn Enright announced that Water has 3 ESRI Conference passes that they will not be using. If anyone would be interested in using one, please let her know. TDOT also has a few passes, per Peter Johnson. A discussion ensued about possibly buying the conference proceedings DVD as was done last year. The COOP has no funds, but folks will see about purchasing via various department resources.
Blanca Espino is working to re-vamp the COOP webpage. Please let her know if you have any suggestions, links, info, etc for the website.
Next year’s COOP chairs met to discuss future meeting agendas.
