Biography: Jason first moved to Tucson in 1992. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Science degree in Regional Development, and a minor he created called Cultures, Technology and the Environment. During his undergrad, Jason started work with a Tucson energy engineer and was involved in the development of many local energy projects and sustainability efforts, including several years of monitoring the Sustainable Energy Standard via energy and water audits of the community of Civano. He went on to co-author a book on the subject named Inside the Civano Project: A Case Study of Large-Scale Sustainable Neighborhood Development (McGraw Hill, 2010). Jason came to the City from a four-year position with a military contractor where he worked for the Air National Guard, the Coast Guard, and the Air Force as a Resource Efficiency Manager. Jason is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers and a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional through the U. S. Green Building Council. Jason also completed a Masters of Project Management degree with an Organizational Change Management Specialization and has over 15 years of experience in the field.
