2nd Convenient After-Hours Permit Information Session Scheduled

Homeowners in Tucson interested in residential permits and code
compliance are invited to an after-hours permitting and information
session for common residential improvements.  This second session will
be hosted by the City's Development Services Department, in cooperation
with Pima County Development Services.

The session is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2008, from 5:30
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the City’s Development Services permit counter
location at 201 N. Stone Ave.

Staff assistance is specifically targeted to owner-occupied customers
considering improvements, additions, or changes to their residential
property.  The subject residence must be owner-occupied to qualify for
an appointment.

Permit staff will be available to individually assist residential
customers through the permitting process.  Common residential
improvements can include room enclosures, porch additions, water heater
replacements, etc.

"The first permitting session last month proved to be very beneficial
to our customers and to permitting staff," said Ernie Duarte, City
Development Services Director.  "Project questions and issues were
addressed in a thorough and comprehensive way without the pressure of a
lobby full of more typical daytime contracting-type customers."

Because time will be limited, residents are asked to schedule an
appointment by contacting Chad Anderson, City Manager’s Office, at
(520) 791-4204 or at Chad.Anderson@tucsonaz.gov
