NEW WEB PAGE OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE PROPERTY RESEARCH INFORMATION

The City's Development Services Department has launched a new internet web page that provides a wealth of information related to a property from multiple sources across jurisdictional boundaries.

Property Research Online (PRO) can now be found at http://www.tucsonaz.gov/PRO.

PRO searches databases maintained by the City of Tucson, Pima County, and other sources to locate what features are on a piece of property and how those features will guide its development. Prior to PRO, this information was all publicly available, but a person had to access multiple unrelated sources to pull it all together.

Upon entering an address or parcel number, PRO returns a list of relevant information about the property. PRO displays zoning, proximity to FEMA and local floodplain designations, washes and natural habitats, scenic and hillside zones, landfill and airport environs zones, impact fee areas, future right of ways, enterprise zones, jurisdictional information, and more. PRO also links to a map which displays overlays and aerial photos of the property, as well as to information regarding ownership, entitlements, stipulations, encumbrances, permit issues, and more.

PRO has the potential to provide exceptional benefits to residents, neighborhood organizations, businesses, and City staff. It will reduce the time spent by City staff and customers who are researching properties. In addition, having pertinent information at the start of a project allows the property owner or developer to proceed faster with fewer surprises.

Development Services staff will assist any customer requesting a brief tutorial on PRO or experiencing any difficulties. E-mail DSD_Help_Desk@tucsonaz.gov for more information.

NOTE TO MEDIA: If you would like different demonstrations on PRO to show various aspects of its capabilities, contact Jessie Sanders, Development Services Deputy Director, at 837-4900.
