2008 Holiday Schedules

Residential garbage and recycling services and the Los Reales Landfill are affected on only four holidays each year: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. In 2008 the holiday collection schedule is as follows:

Regular Collection:

January 21, 2008	Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday	Monday
February 18, 2008	President’s Day	Monday
May 26, 2008	Memorial Day	Monday
September 1, 2008	Labor Day	Monday
October 13, 2008	Columbus Day	Monday
November 11, 2008	Veterans Day	Tuesday

4^th of July, Independence Day

The 4^th of July holiday will be observed on Friday, July 4, 2008. Residential garbage and recycling will NOT be collected on that day and the Los Reales Landfill will be closed.

City of Tucson residential customers with regular Friday collection will receive garbage and recycling service as follows:

Residents who live East of Alvernon – Thursday, July 3, 2008

Residents who live West of Alvernon – Saturday, July 5, 2008
