Nov. 15, Tucson Money Faire Offers Access to Financial Products, Services And Programs

The Tucson Money Faire is a special, free one-stop event for affordable financial services and products available in the community for low- and moderate-income consumers.

Services offered at the Faire include credit report information, free tax preparation, tax identification numbers, and confidential document shredding. Information will also be available on free checking and savings options, understanding a credit report, reducing monthly payments, home repair assistance, and identity theft protection.

Date: Saturday, November 15, 2008

Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Place: El Rio Neighborhood Center, 1390 W. Speedway Blvd.

Agenda: 10 a.m. – Tucson Money Faire begins

    11 a.m. – Welcome by Lillian Lopez-Grant, Menlo Park leader

"The Tucson Money Faire is now in its third year. There is no other event in our community more likely to provide critical resources for our community in these challenging financial times," said Vice Mayor and Ward III Council Member Karin Uhlich, who also serves as the Executive Director of Southwest Center for Economic Integrity.

Attendance is free. The Faire includes food and refreshments, cash prizes, and music. Residents are encouraged to attend, regardless of their financial status.
