7th Annual Ward IV Back to School Bash

Vice Mayor Shirley Scott, the Ward IV City Council Office and her staff

are hosting the "7th Annual Ward IV Back to School Bash" on Saturday,August 11, 7:00 am to noon, at the Clements Recreation Center, 8155 E. Poinciana Drive. There will be a pancake breakfast, bike rodeo, no-cost raffle, fingerprinting and swimming. We are planning to have informational and interactive demos from various agencies at the Clements Center from 9:00 am to noon.

Fingerprinting will be provided by the Tucson Police Officers Association from 9:00 am to noon. There will also be a "jumping castle" and inflatable obstacle course for the children. All children will be given a packet of school supplies from World Care Tools for Schools.

Schedule of Events

7:00 am - 11:00 am – Pancake Breakfast.

9:00 am – Bike Rodeo by Tucson Parks & Recreation Department.

9:00 am – noon - Informational and interactive displays at Clements

Center, featuring Tucson Police Department (SWAT & Fingerprinting),

Tucson Fire Department, Tucson Water, Pima County Public Library, Sun Sounds Radio, and many others.

Pima Community College Police Department conducting infant car seat

checks for proper installation.

Free raffles for participants from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.

Grand Prizes Raffle at 11:30 am – Includes four bicycles, Arizona

Diamondbacks/Chicago White Sox Spring Training 2008 tickets, a year's supply of Ice Cream from Shamrock Dairy, Tucson Sidewinders Gift Basket, autographed Luis González baseball items, and other great prizes – including raffle prizes for parents attending the event. Must be present to win.

Noon to 7:00 pm – Free admission to the Clements Center pool –

weather permitting.

All of these events are FREE of charge. Children must be accompanied

by an adult.
