City To Host Water Conservation Town Halls
Beginning Thursday, April 3, and continuing throughout April and May, the City of Tucson has scheduled a number of Water Conservation Town Hall meetings at locations both inside and outside city limits.
The Town Halls are offered to provide information and stimulate discussion with customers about additional water conservation measures and how they may impact the water supply needs of the community in the decades ahead. Information will be provided on the recommendations that the Community Conservation Task Force made to Mayor and Council. Time will also be devoted to answering questions and discussion about the important issues that will shape Tucson's water future.
More detailed information about the Town Hall meetings and the Community Conservation Task Force recommendations can be found on the Tucson Water web site at <www.tucsonaz.gov/water>. A brief survey is also available on the web site as well as a description of the new conservation programs recommended by the Community Conservation Task Force.
The schedule for upcoming Conservation Town Halls follows and is on page two of the attached media release. The schedule for the remaining Town Halls will be released as dates and locations are finalized. For more information, call Tucson Water at 791-4331.
