    ABANDONED/DISABLED VEHICLES       See: PARKING ENFORCEMENT PROBLEMS

    It is unlawful to abandon a non-working vehicle on the roadway for more than 48 hours. To have abandoned vehicles tagged and removed, call the Tucson Police Department.

    It is a violation of the Tucson Municipal Code (Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance) to store an inoperable vehicle on private property without current registration unless it is completely enclosed in a garage or covered by an opaque car cover. Tarps, bed sheets, plastic sheeting or similar materials do not meet the definition of opaque car cover. To report, call 792-2489.
