Avra Valley Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) Public Participation

In 2009, the City and Tucson Water, along with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, actively sought comments from the public during a 60-day comment period as well as through a public open house held at Ryan Airfield in Avra Valley. On July 10 and July 11, 2012, the City and Tucson Water hosted two public open house events. These were held at the Picture Rocks Community Center and the Robles Ranch Community Center. Thank you to everyone who attended.

For those who could not attend and who would like to see the City's presentation, a pdf version can be found here.

The City and Tucson Water are also actively soliciting comments on the draft Avra Valley HCP. The comment period will extend from now through July 31, 2012 (extended to August 15, 2012). There are several ways you can share your comments on the City’s draft Avra Valley HCP. These different ways are described below (Please note that your comments and personal identifying information may become part of the public record).
