Transportation Alternatives: The Bigger Picture

The implications of peak oil are far-reaching, touching our lives in many ways beyond the price of gasoline for our vehicles. The global exchange of goods is dependent on transportation nodes, all of which are affected by declining oil resources and rising gasoline prices. Depending on current transportation systems will be increasingly expensive, affecting the price of goods and services. Re-thinking our global transportation systems and the goods we exchange will be an important piece of peak oil adaptation. Looking for transportation methods that reduce greenhouse gas emissions will also reduce the effects of climate change.

Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas

ASPO is a network of scientists and others, having an interest in determining the date and impact of the peak and decline of the world's production of oil and gas, due to resource constraints. http://www.peakoil.net/
