Schoolzout program

An activity based program for ages 5-11 years (5 years olds must have completed kindergarten, proof may be required) schoolzout camps occur when school is closed; rodeo break, spring break, fall break and the holiday break. Cost is $2 per child per day. No discounts. Activities include, games, music, sports crafts, field trips, movies, and more. Registration begins on the Monday two weeks before the school break.  Registration numbers are limited.  Contact the center staff at 791-4683 for more information.

KIDCO summer recreation program

El rio has school year KIDCO and summer kidco.  Registration is through our registration services dept.  Fees vary based on time of the year.  To learn more about registration please call 520-791-4877.  For more information about the KIDCO program call 520-791-5909

In-Betweeners Club (IBC)

The IBC club is available during the school year for kids ages 11-14 that are in middle school.  The cost is $18 for 3 months.  Children get homework help, a snack, arts and crafts, out door games and guest speakers.

Youth Open Drop-in Recreation

Monday-Friday 5pm-closing, must be at least 7 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or adult. Daily center use fee or quarterly pass applies.  Open drop in consist of the lobby area/game room and tv room.

The El Rio Center provides classes, programs and services for seniors.

We offer a meal program for seniors ages 60+ that is grant funded through pima council on aging.  Meals are provided with the completion of free registration.  Meal fees are donation only with a recommendation of $2.00. 

Enhanced Fitness

Enhanced fitness is a class offered through Pima Council on Aging at the El Rio Ccenter. This program offers four key components of fitness: strength training, flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning and balance training critical to reducing the risk of falls. This class taught by a certified instructor accommodates all levels of fitness. Expect regular fitness checks along with healthy dose of fun and socializing.

Transportation to the Center

We pick-up and drop-off seniors that live in the area. Join us for a day of fun, activities, food and the freedom from staying at home. Please call Diane at 520-837-8210 for more information about this great program.
