25th ANNUAL HARAMBEE FESTIVAL CELEBRATES UNITY F EB. 7
The Tucson Parks and Recreation Department’s Northwest Neighborhood Center hosts the 25th Annual Harambee Festival Saturday, Feb. 7 from 4-7 p.m. at Mansfield Park, 2160 N. Sixth Ave.
This year’s event takes the form of a block party in the park and represents a call to unity throughout the community.
Harambee, pronounced ha-RAM-bay, is Swahili for “coming together.”
The free family event includes entertainment, family fun and the 3rd Annual Richard Higginbotham 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.
Families are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and food. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
For more information, call the Northwest Center at 791-3247.
