SHAKESPEARE UNDER THE STARS SEASON

UPDATES POPULAR COMEDY

Tucson Parks and Recreation’s upcoming 21^st season of Shakespeare under the Stars at Reid Park’s DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, 22^nd Street and Country Club, updates the popular comedy in a number of ways.

Six free performances of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” will run June, 20-22 and June 27-29. Curtain time is 8 p.m.

The play, which takes a humorous look at the excesses of human behavior, jumps into the 1980s and takes place at a trailer court in an imaginary Arizona town. While original dialogue is maintained, Director Mary F. Glenn has added a few plot surprises.
