Registration booklets for Tucson’s largest organized senior activity—the 26th Annual Senior Olympic Festival to be held Jan. 22-31—are now available citywide.
Hosted by the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department, Senior Olympic registration booklets are available at all Parks and Recreation centers, tennis centers and district offices, Tucson City Golf courses, RV/mobile home parks and public libraries.
Registration continues until Dec. 31, and a late fee of $3 will be added for processing from Jan. 2-11. Participation is open to anyone who will be 50 years of age before Dec. 31, 2010. The 10-day “Celebration of Fitness” features nearly 100 events to promote health, fitness and an active lifestyle among seniors.
Opening ceremonies, including a senior expo and parade of athletes, will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 23 at Reid Park’s DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, 22nd and Country Club.
Competitive events run daily from Jan 22-31 at various venues throughout the City.
Registration on-line or by phone, using a credit card, is available through www.ezeereg.com or by calling 573-3933. Walk-in and mail-in registration is also available.
Complete registration and event information is available in the booklets or at 791-3244.
