Recycling and Reuse
(Recycle, buy, sell, donate, rent & repair used items)
(*) Denotes donation opportunity
The Recycling & Reuse section has been divided into several separate pages, listed in alphabetical order by category.
| Page 1 (A-B Categories) | Page 2 (C-E Categories) | Page 3 (F-Z Categories) |
The Recycling and Reuse section lists businesses providing options to buy, sell, trade, rent, or repair used items, companies whose products contain recycled or reused material or are less toxic to the environment, and/or conserve energy. Please browse through this list, or select from a category to the left:
If you aren't buying recycled or reused products, you aren't truly recycling. Purchasing recycled items helps close the loop in the recycling process. Businesses that make products from recycled content need support. As more people buy recycled products, prices continue to go down, and more companies are able to offer products with recycled content. Look for the words "Post-consumer content" on packages. This means that the product or its packaging was made from materials that people recycled, not just scrap items at a manufacturing facility (which generally get recycled anyway).
The Freecycle Network is a free online service for
people who want to give something away or receive something. Visit The Freecycle Network for more details and to sign up for one or more lists around the Tucson-Pima County metropolitan area!
