Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank
Council Member Rodney Glassman is encouraging the community to drop off diapers for babies and adults now! Yes, with the changes in our economy, and the increasing demand from agencies distributing diapers having increased almost 40% over last year, the Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank warehouse is nearly bare even though they collected a record number in their Annual December Diaper Drive.
You may bring packages of diapers to the Eastside City Hall, 7575 East Speedway, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank is the sole provider of diapers to babies, the elderly, and the disabled living in poverty in Tucson. This amounts to over 2 million diapers annually. The Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank is the first of its kind in the country, providing dignity and independence for families through this critical and generally ignored necessity.
The Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank currently serves over 70 Tucson nonprofit agencies, religious organizations, and school family resource centers. This valued service helps those in greatest need. For further information, please call the Diaper Bank at 321-4433, extension 202.
