In December of 2004, the Ward VI Council Office moved to its current location at 3202 E. First Street. (Click here to view a map). The building has a long history of service to the community. It first opened in 1959 as Fire Station No. 7. The building continued as a public service facility when it was converted to house the Midtown Police station from 1986 to 2004. When it became the Ward office in 2004, it was formally dedicated to the brave men and women of emergency services who have called this building ‘home’ during the last 45 years.

Community Neighborhood Center
In addition to housing the Ward VI Council office, our offices can serve a wide array of community functions. Three large rooms are available to public and non-profit organizations for meetings and other gatherings. Qualified groups include nonprofit organizations, neighborhood associations, schools, government groups, and many more. The community room also serves as a rotating gallery for local artists, click here to see some of the pieces that have been on display in our Ward VI Gallery.
