Radon Information

The following article has been reprinted from Opflow, Vol. 22, No. 2 (February 1996), by permission (Copyright © 1996, American Water Works Association).

Tucson Water has recently collected over 500 water samples to measure the concentrations of radon throughout the water system. The results of this effort are summarized in the City Manager's September 27, 1999 memo to the Mayor and City Council, and detailed in the attachments.

Listed below are the maps and attachments referred to in the City Manager's memo. The large format maps mentioned in the memo are approximately 35 Megabytes each in size; in order to minimize your download times, they have been converted to JPEG files, in the more reasonable 550 - 650 KB sizes listed below. Each of these maps is 4,263 pixels wide by 2,709 pixels high by 16 million colors, so please scroll horizontally and/or vertically in order to view recognizable features.
