The City of Tucson’s Team Up to Clean Up crew is working with our City employees and residents to take advantage of these cooler temperatures and beautiful weather to clean our community this autumn.
From Oct. 17 - Nov. 18, four of our City departments - Environmental Services, Transportation and Mobility, Parks and Recreation, and Tucson Water - will work together to enhance our community by eliminating litter and performing general landscaping along targeted street corridors throughout our city.
In partnership with Tucson Clean and Beautiful, we are encouraging our local businesses, schools, and community groups to participate with us along these corridors or hold their own cleanups at sites they select during this time period to help clean up our community. The City of Tucson will be happy to coordinate with the organizers of community selected site cleanups to pick up bagged litter. You just need to contact us in advance of your cleanup date.
“You don’t need a big group to make a difference this fall! Get a couple of friends, gloves, bags and pick-up litter around your neighborhood.” said Steven LaTurco Community Services Project Facilitator, “It’s as easy as organizing a cleanup in your area and the Environmental and General Services team will pick up your bags. We want City of Tucson residents to know a cleaner city is a safer city.” Borrow tools from Tucson Clean and Beautiful or the City of Tucson to host a fall cleanup.
