The City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) was honored at the Metropolitan Pima Alliance (MPA) Common Ground Award ceremony for the 2019 Tech Tools. The yearly event is hosted by MPA to recognize community leaders, projects, and programs that have made significant contributions toward bridging divides and finding solutions to complex challenges in creative ways.
PDSD was acknowledged for the Tech Tools released during 2019 in the ongoing effort to improve customer service, increase staff efficiency, and provide greater transparency to the public. The 2019 Tech Tools include:
These tools followed other recent technology advancements that include electronic plan review and remote video inspection. Upcoming releases include a new permit database to further improve the services we provide to support development-related activities and inquiries in the City of Tucson.
