Message from City Manager Michael Ortega

To maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, it is my direction to ban City related travel for employees that are not able to show a proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.  Staff can show proof of vaccination to their supervisor or designated support staff that prepares travel paperwork. Verification that a vaccine record has been shown can be documented on travel related documentation, without having to attach a vaccination record.  Showing proof of vaccination is not a violation of HIPPAA. Consideration may be made for employees who cannot receive the vaccine due to health reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs, as determined by each hiring authority.
