Tucson City Court has one vacancy for a city magistrate. The successful candidate will be appointed to a term of four years from the date of appointment.
The position has a yearly salary of $112,700.
The City Magistrate Merit Selection Commission will make a recommendation to the Mayor and Council.
Applicants must be:
1) Of good moral character, and
2) A resident of Arizona for one year immediately preceding recommendation, and
3) Admitted to the practice of law in Arizona for five years immediately preceding recommendation.
Applicants should also be familiar with Supreme Court of Arizona Administrative Orders.
Persons seeking appointment shall, as part of the appointment application process, furnish a full set of fingerprints to the City.
