Parks and Recreation: By the Numbers

Tucson Parks and Recreation worked hard throughout 2020, adapting to changing and challenging circumstances almost every day while remaining committed to its mission and the community.

In 2020, the department accomplished a lot, including the completion of a new splash pad at Lincoln Park, adding 14 shade structures over existing playgrounds, and achieved CAPRA National Accreditation for parks and recreation agencies for the third time. Read more in the January newsletter.

There were also more than 51,000 free COVID-19 tests given at City parks and recreation sites.
