Tucson Parks and Recreation worked hard throughout 2020, adapting to changing and challenging circumstances almost every day while remaining committed to our mission and the community. In 2020, the department accomplished a lot, including the completion of a new splash pad at Lincoln Park, adding 14 shade structures over existing playgrounds, and achieved CAPRA National Accreditation for parks and recreation agencies for the third time. There were also over 51,000 free COVID-19 tests given at City parks and recreation sites, in partnership with Pima County. Take a look back at some of the other accomplishments from Tucson Parks and Recreation.
