Register for Outdoor Classes Today

We are offering more outdoor leisure classes this spring. Classes will be held at Gene C. Reid Park, Morris K. Udall Park, Purple Heart Park, and William M. Clements Center. Adult classes include Tai Chi, Total Body Conditioning, Pickleball, and Line Dancing. Youth classes include Sports for Tots, Kinder Music, and Drawing and Water Color Painting.

Vista Del Prado Park Receives New Swings

Vista Del Pueblo Park, 3250 S. Jessica Ave., recently received a new swing set and an ADA-accessible drinking fountain and water bottle-filler station. The project was made possible with Ward 1 sewer line warranty funds.   

Free Tax Preparation

Get free tax preparation from AARP. You will need to pick up a packet for your appointment at Wilmot, Martha Cooper, or Columbus libraries, as well as the locations listed below. Location: Armory Park Center, 220 S. 5th Ave.  Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays Times: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Packets will be available Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-noon. Location: Morris K. Udall-Carol West Senior Addition,  7200 E. Tanque Verde Road Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays Times: 9 a.m.-noon For more info: 520-314-2829 Packets will be available during the above days and times.

On Nov. 6, 2018, the City of Tucson voters approved Proposition 407, a $225 million bond package for capital improvements via General Obligation bonds. The bond funds will be dedicated to improving City park amenities (playgrounds, sports fields, pools, splash pads, and recreation centers) as well as connections (pedestrian pathways, bicycle pathways, pedestrian and bicycle safety). Projects will happen in phases over the next nine years (2020-2028). Thank you, Tucson voters! New Playground Now Open at Rolling Hills Park

A new playground at Rolling Hills Park, 8820 E. 29th St., is now open and ready for play!

NEW Park: Health and Heritage Trail: Jefferson Park

A new linear park has opened at 1000 E. Grant Road, called Health and Heritage Trail: Jefferson Park.

Pickleball Courts to Open at Morris K. Udall Park Soon

New pickleball courts are being installed at Morris K. Udall Park, 7290 E. Tanque Verde Road, and will be open in March.
