Dear Tucsonans,

Our Future

Because we always focus together on how can we do better as a City, we sometimes fail to pause and celebrate what we have accomplished -- the good news. The harsh economic downturn surely reinforced that tendency.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site Changes

Beginning on July 1st, the City of Tucson/Pima County Household Hazardous Waste program will rotate locations on the second saturday of the month.

The long standing location at the fire station at 7575 E Speedway will still be open on the first Saturday of each month, 8 am - noon. Also, hazardous waste will continue to be collected at the CABOP location at Los Reales Landfill.

Friends of Ft Lowell Park Fundraiser

Friends of Fort Lowell Park is embarking on fund raising for beautifying and securing the Wildlife Oasis at the pond in the park. The goal is to overlay the existing chain link fence with ocotillo fencing which is beautifully natural, adding to the nice scenery and the security of the wildlife refuge created along the pond's edge.
