Traffic signals at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Columbus Boulevard are now functioning. Crews from the City of Tucson Department of Transportation Streets and Traffic Maintenance resumed work on the rewiring of the signals this morning and have completed the repair.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Clear Contracting, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will power down the electrical system feeding the traffic signals at the Tanque Verde Road, Wilmot Road, Pima Street intersection. Crews will then install new traffic signals as part of the improvement project.
Work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this work, officers from the Tucson Police Department will be stationed at the intersection to help direct traffic until the traffic signals are reactivated.

On Monday, March 28, 2016 Southern Arizona Paving, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation TDOT, is scheduled to begin work on Old Spanish Trail from Houghton Road to 22nd Street.
Old Spanish Trail will be reconstructed in four phases. One lane of travel in each direction will be maintained during the work.

Traffic signals at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Columbus Boulevard are currently non-functioning. Crews from the City of Tucson Department of Transportation Streets and Traffic Maintenance Division are on-site rewiring and repairing the signals. Temporary stop signs are in place; motorists should treat the intersection as a four-way stop. The completion time for this repair is not known at this time.
Motorists should expect delays. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area.

A water-sharing agreement will allow Tucson to store more than a billion gallons of Phoenix’s share of Central Arizona Project water. That's enough to serve 17,000 homes in Phoenix each year.
The agreement among municipal Arizona water providers was announced yesterday at a water summit in Washington, D.C. The White House Water Summit, held in conjunction with United Nations World Water Day, focused on the country’s water issues and potential solutions using innovative science and technology.

The City of Tucson will receive $8.26 million from the sale of 173 acres of land in the Houghton Road Corridor. The land is part of the greater 320-acre Civano parcel which fronts the west side of Houghton Road between Irvington and Valencia roads.

The Mayor and Tucson City Council yesterday authorized the next step in expanding the Government Property Lease Excise Tax (GPLET) abatement area. The GPLET provides up to eight years of property tax abatement for projects located in the Central Business District that result in a property value increase of at least 100 percent.

On Thursday, March 24, 2016, Toole Avenue from Fifth Avenue to Sixth Avenue will be reduced to one travel lane between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews from Day’s Excavating, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will be paving this section of Toole Avenue. Flaggers will help direct motorists through the work zone.
