Enjoy free rides on the Sun Link streetcar during Shop Local Saturday. Tucson Medical Center once again is sponsoring a day of free streetcar rides, as it did on July 25, the first anniversary of the public launch of Sun Link.

With the Downtown Tucson eGift Card, you can share a taste of what Tucson has to offer. The gift card is valid at more than 70 participating businesses in the downtown area and can be loaded on a smartphone.
Gift card recipients can buy a SunGo 1-Day Ticket to ride the Sun Link streetcar to spend their gift.

While City offices will reopen Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday, Tucson City Court will remain closed. The Court building will be open for the public to access the Public Defender’s Office and the City Prosecutor’s Office, but court services will not be available.
Tucson City Court has designated the fourth Friday after the fourth Thursday of November (Friday after Thanksgiving) as a non-juridical day.

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO) this weekend will perform during a compilation of clips from 13 Pixar films. The full symphony will perform soundtracks over sections of popular movies, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars, Up, Brave, Monsters Inc., and more.

Councilmember Richard Fimbres and the staff of the Ward 5 Council Office wants to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be open again at 8 am on Monday, November 30.

The Tucson City Court, City Prosecutor, and City Public Defender will hold a second “Warrant Day” on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. Individuals with warrants may come to the court starting at 8 a.m. and see a judge, on a walk-in basis, regarding their warrant until 4 p.m. The goal of Warrant Day is to resolve the warrant and possibly close cases in warrant status. As the holiday shopping season is about to begin, Tucson Parks and Recreation is offering an alternative to the busy stores. The annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair will be held this Saturday and Sunday at Reid Park, 22nd Street and Country Club Road. The free event will be west of the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.

Did you know you can play horseshoes at 14 Tucson parks? In fact, Reid Park recently hosted a horseshoe competition. Certain parks even have facilities for bocce ball, sand volleyball, disc golf, racquetball, shuffleboard, walking, and running. Learn more about the amenities by watching the video below.

Local First Arizona is encouraging residents to buy local during the holiday season. Buy Local Month began Saturday, as locally-owned businesses teamed with Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild to launch the campaign at the 30th annual Holiday Artisans Market at the Tucson Museum of Art.
