The Mayor and Tucson City Council and the Office of Economic Initiatives (ConnectTucson) will host seven virtual meetings in January to engage the community in co-creating a shared vision for the future of the Central Business District (CBD).

On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), is scheduled to replace a damaged traffic signal pole at the northwest corner of the Fort Lowell Road and Dodge Boulevard intersection.

The Ward 5 Council Office is closed now.
Councilmember Richard Fimbres and the Ward 5 Staff want to wish you a safe and Happy New Year and to wear your mask, practice social distancing, washing your hands and don't text and drive.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be closed Friday, January 1, for New Year's Day and will be open Monday, January 4.

A few weeks back, I told you about our glass re-use program. Another program we’ve had in the holiday season for years is TreeCycle. Instead of taking your tree to the landfill, you can drop off your tree at one of several sites around our community until January 17th.

The City of Tucson Mayor and Council have directed staff to update Tucson’s zoning regulations related to marijuana dispensaries in light of the recently passed voter initiative (Proposition 207, Smart and Safe Arizona) to allow adult use marijuana.

The Ward 5 Council Office is now closed on Christmas Eve.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be closed, along with other City offices on Friday, December 25th, to mark Christmas Day.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be open on Monday, December 28th.
Councilmember Fimbres and the Ward 5 staff hope you have a safe Holiday.
