Downtown Links Traffic Alert - Sixth Street Closure

Downtown Links Constructors (DLC), under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) are working on the Downtown Links project, which began in August 2020.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should anticipate intermittent lane restrictions throughout the limits of the project in addition to the following upcoming work:

Prop 101 Crack Seal/Fog Seal May 9

Crews from VSS International, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are continuing the crack seal/ fog seal program on various roadway segments throughout the City. The roadway improvements are associated with the voter-approved Proposition 101 Tucson Delivers Better Streets Program.

Input welcome during Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan meeting

On May 7, Planning and Development Services along with several other departments in the City of Tucson gathered to discuss the Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan with neighbors in the community.

Participants were asked to share input and voice their opinion on topics related to transportation, housing, historic preservation, economic development, parks, and the environment. The plan is meant to capture priorities for residents of the neighborhood and establish policies to guide future development.

Tucson Norte-Sur Outreach

 

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) continues outreach for Tucson Norte-Sur: Investing in Resilient Communities + Transit, the equitable Transit-Oriented Development (eTOD) strategic planning project for a north-south corridor extending from the Tucson Mall/Tohono Tadai Transit Center in the north to Tucson International Airport in the south. The 15-mile corridor study area, includes Oracle Road and Stone Avenue on the north side of downtown and South Sixth Avenue on the south side of downtown.

Additional opportunity for input on Commercial Parking Code Amendments

The Planning and Development Services Department will host a virtual public meeting to discuss proposed changes to commercial parking regulations in Tucson.

The meeting will be held to discuss the two components of the proposed text amendment which include EV charging requirements and expanded eligibility for the Individual Parking Plan. Public feedback is welcome and will be gathered during this meeting.

 

Houghton Road Ribbon Cutting Event (Mary Ann Cleveland to Valencia)

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), Ward 4 Council Office, and the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) invite the public to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Houghton Road Improvement Project from Valencia Road to Mary Ann Cleveland Way.
