Cyclovia Traffic Alert

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, beginning at 6 a.m., the following streets will close to vehicular travel for Cyclovia Tucson.

  • Stone Avenue, south of Alameda Street to 18th Street
  • Meyer Avenue/Eighth Avenue from 18th Street to 37th Street
  • Fourth Avenue from 18th Street to 34th Street
  • 34th Street from Eighth Avenue to Fourth Avenue

Half-Staff Notification

In coordination with the Presidential proclamation, Governor Ducey has ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff immediately until sunset on March 27, 2022 to honor former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.

Public Events at Cyclovia Tucson

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) is seeking public input on two scheduled transportation projects: The Church Avenue Complete Street Project and the 18th Street, 8th Avenue, and S. Campbell/Pinal Bicycle Boulevards. DTM staff invite the public to review preliminary design plans for each project, ask questions, share concerns, and provide the project design teams with suggestions.

Share input on transit-oriented development downtown and beyond

The greater downtown area has seen substantial investment as a result of transit-oriented development tools. Through a combination of transportation investments, land use tools, and economic incentives, downtown has seen substantial growth in housing, jobs and businesses since the launch of the streetcar in 2014. The Infill Incentive District, the zoning tool that has facilitated much of the development in the greater downtown area, is up for renewal in January 2023.

Traffic Alert - Downtown Road Closures



On Saturday, March 12, 2022, several road closures will be in place for multiple events taking place in the Downtown area.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival – From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the following streets will be closed to motorists for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival:

eTod Launch

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) launches Tucson Norte-Sur: Investing in Resilient Communities + Transit, the equitable Transit-Oriented Development (eTOD) strategic planning project for a north-south corridor extending from the Tucson Mall/Tohono Tadai Transit Center to the north to Tucson International Airport to the south. The 15-mile corridor, includes Oracle Road on the north side of downtown and South Sixth Avenue on the south side of downtown.


Prop 101 Crack Seal/Fog Seal Continues March 8, 2022

Crews from VSS International, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are continuing crack seal work on various roadway segments throughout the City. The roadway improvements are associated with the voter-approved Prop 101 Tucson Delivers Better Streets Program.

During the two-month-long crack seal roadway improvement project, work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The dates and locations where the improvements will take place in these next two weeks of the program are:
