Paul's Note - March 26, 2021

On Monday, I attended the opening of twelve new pickleball courts at Udall Park. To tell you the truth, I didn’t know what pickleball was until I was approached by several local pickleball players a few years ago. They wanted more places in Tucson to play their sport. 

Broadway - Euclid Ave to Country Club Rd Improvement Project - Country Club Closure

For the safety of the traveling public and to facilitate the installation of an underground 48-inch diameter storm drain on the north side of Broadway, Country Club Road, just north of Broadway will be closed to through travel from about 4 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 until about 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 28.

Eastbound and westbound travel on Broadway will not be affected by this closure.

Udall Pickleball Courts Opening

Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite you to celebrate the opening of the pickleball courts at Morris K. Udall Park. The court renovations were completed using Tucson Delivers Parks + Connections voter-approved bond funds from the November 2018 election. The renovations included the conversion of four existing tennis courts into 12 standard-size pickleball courts.

Meet Me at the Park

Tucson Parks and Recreation is piloting free outdoor classes at parks throughout Tucson. This new program, called Meet Me at the Park, is available to the first 10 participants to show up at the class and is designed to help the community get active and explore our parks. Check out what's happening in our area.
