Speedway Blvd and Camino Seco Traffic Signal Rewire

On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, the traffic signals at the Speedway Boulevard and Camino Seco intersection will not be in operation as crews replace underground conduit and wiring.

The work will begin at 9 a.m. and is anticipated to be complete by 4 p.m. the same day. This schedule could change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Police officers will direct travel through the intersection until the work is complete. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in this work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel in the area.

The framers of the constitution put it near the beginning because having an accurate count is critical to ensuring that there is equitable representation in congress and in our state legislatures. It has also become important in many other ways as well.

With the growing number of immigrant families being released in the Tucson area, community service providers are in need of volunteers and donations to support the asylum seekers continuing on their journey.

Tucson Audubon Society Hosts Wednesday Field Trips at Sweetwater Wetlands

Every Wednesday, the Tucson Audubon Society hosts free field trips at Sweetwater Wetlands, 2511 W. Sweetwater Drive. Birders of all experience levels are welcome to see the variety of species that frequent the facility. Field trips begin at 6 a.m.

Bring binoculars and a camera to view the exciting species in the area. Make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and proper clothing for outdoors.

City of Tucson Recruiting Electronics Bench Technician

The City of Tucson’s Environmental & General Services Department is hiring an electronics bench technician. This position will be responsible for repairing electronics equipment. Work includes troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing defective radios, siren systems, emergency lighting and controls, installing and testing equipment for proper operation, utilizing digital multi-meters, amp meters, watt meters, and service monitors.
