Classes that will be offered include Les Mills Bodyflow, Bodyweight Bootcamp, Mixxed Fit, Barre-less Barre, Les Mills Bodyattack, and Les Mills Bodycombat. Each class begins at 11:30 a.m. and is only 30 minutes.
In last week’s newsletter, I had a short blurb about the tariffs that the President threatened against Mexico. In a Tweet, the President promised a 5% tariff on goods from Mexico starting next week. These tariffs could rise as high to 25% by September according to the schedule in the President’s plan.
We all need to understand what the economic impact would be to raise prices on goods from Arizona’s biggest trading partner.
The intersection of Golf Links Road and Wilmot Road will close tomorrow, June 8, at 8 p.m. for repaving. The intersection is expected to reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 9.
Wilmot Road will be closed to through travel at 22nd Street and at Stella Road, and Golf Links Road will be closed at Craycroft Road and at Kolb Road. Local traffic to access residences and businesses will be allowed past those points. Message boards are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closures.
Reid Park Zoo’s annual Summer Safari Nights is on Saturdays this year and is now free for members (admission applies for non-members). The program runs 6-8 p.m. every Saturday (except for June 15) until Aug. 17.

On Monday, June 10, 2019, work will begin to install a new underground drainage structure on north Gollob Road from Broadway to Appomattox Street. During the work hours of 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, there will be alternating one-way travel on Gollob Road. A robotic flagging system will be positioned at each end of the work zone to direct travel during the work hours.

Reid Park Zoo is home to four squirrel monkeys, some of the smallest primates. Visitors can see them swinging from branch to branch, hear them vocalizing to one another, and enjoying small pieces of fruit or worms. The Temple of Tiny Monkeys is located in the Zoo’s South America Loop. Watch the monkeys in action on the video below.
Tucson Parks and Recreation has an application to name the existing and future softball fields at Lincoln Regional Park as the Julie Reitan Softball Complex. The public comment period on the naming ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 22.
