Pima County Public Library Plans to Open Select Branches with Limited Hours

Beginning Monday, May 18, 10 a.m., many Pima County public libraries will reopen for public use. Select branches will be open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

There will be limits on the number of people in a branch, time allowed inside, spaces that can be accessed, and services that are provided. Library customers must be willing to have their temperature taken before entering, wear a cloth face covering, use hand sanitizing stations, and maintain at least six feet of distance from anyone else.

Pima County Board of Supervisors Adopts Set of Temporary Regulations for Restaurants, Other Industries

A set of temporary health-code regulations for restaurants and other facilities was approved yesterday, May 13, by the Pima County Board of Supervisors.

The regulations provide for healthy physical distancing measures while providing dine-in restaurants the flexibility to serve as many customers as possible. Restaurants and bars must limit their indoor occupancy to 50% or lower, keep a minimum of 6 feet between tables, and offer dine-in services only if a party calls ahead first.

Reminder: Tucson Water Recommends Flushing Procedures for Buildings Prior to Reopening

Owners and tenants of buildings which have been closed for several weeks will have stagnant water held within the private plumbing lines. This stagnant water can undergo changes in quality. To ensure continued health and safety of employees and customers, Tucson Water recommends systematically flushing twice the volume of water held in the lines through the plumbing system.
